PEOPLE can show their support for a well-known Inverclyde charity at a fun-packed event next month.

The team at The Anchor will be hosting a summer fun day at Lady Octavia Sports Centre on Saturday, August 2.

Some of the activities on the day will include games like Hook-a-Duck, Play Your Cards Right, Beat the Goalie, and ‘Sponge the Anchor Team’.

There will be face painting and a football tournament, alongside a tombola, raffles, and home baking and sweetie stalls.

(Image: The Anchor) DJ Billy McLellan is all set to provide the tunes, and people will be able to enjoy some live music, a birds of prey display, and a barbecue.

The team from DM Diamondz are ready to give a great performance, and local businesses will be there with information stalls.

And some special guests may even pop in for a visit.

The fun will run from 12.30pm to 4.30pm

A spokesperson for The Anchor thanked Spar Greenock, Clyde Eats, The Cottage Cafe, and the Co-op for their support.

They added: "This is more than just a fun day - it's a chance to come together as a community, support mental wellbeing, and spread a little hope."
